This is the perfect place to have grilled fish in Asakusa. They cook it right in front of you on a robatayaki grill inside the counter. The stewed beef tendon (gyu-suji nikomi) is a classic dish that comes out instantly without making you wait.

The owner has been running this restaurant since day one. She told me herself, though I can’t remember the exact date. Since she’s in her 70s or 80s, I’m guessing the place opened around 50 years ago.
If you want to experience the atmosphere of a good old Japanese izakaya, this is definitely the place to go.
