It\u2019s a strange kind of liquor\u2014somewhere between Yomeishu (a medicinal tonic) and a knockoff whiskey. Yes, it tastes just like J\u00e4germeister. If you turn it into a highball by mixing it with soda, the flavor becomes even weaker. Still, you can&#8217;t exactly visit Kamiya Bar without having Denki Bran. So, I decided to drink it straight, using a mug of draft beer as a chaser. And I\u2019m not the only one saying this; even the Japanese Wikipedia entry mentions that Denki Bran is meant to be drunk with beer as a chaser.
